Hi, so I just came across a few baby shower treats I thought was pretty dang awesome. So now I feel the need to share them on my blog. First off I have not actually made these myself yet but when I do I will post some pictures.
I am not taking credit for coming up with these idea's myself, they are simple idea's I have came across over the net.
For a unisex baby shower
Swimming ducks
buy clear wide cups.
Make some light colored pudding and add blue food coloring to it
Or you can just make blue colored jello.
Place the food item into the clear cups.
Place the tiny yellow ducks on top of the pudding or jello.
It gives the appearance of swimming ducks. I really is so dang cute.

This web site has some examples of some yellow ducks you can use for this.
Poo diaper treats! lol
I know sounds gross, but everyone will laugh and have fun with these.
Using tiny safety pens, fold up blue or pink napkins into a small diapers. Make sure you to make the holes where the legs would normally be small enough to where the candy wont come rolling out. Then put whoppers(candy) into the diaper. This really is a cute idea.

Diaper Cakes
Diaper Cakes are not only cute to look at, but very useful too. Depending on what you put in them.
Diaper cakes have become pretty popular but some people don't even know where to start when making one.
Have made and sold a few. I will give you some pointers on what I include in the one's I like to make.
-Diapers, I normally like to use size 1 or 2 because the person you will be giving it to will probably already have plenty of newborn size.
-I use clear rubber bands
-Wide Ribbon
-A cake circle for the bottom ( used to normally hold cakes, can find at walmart)
-I use a plastic gift bag Very large size and clear. (can find at local craft store)
-A baby blanket, I make mine home made, but store bought one's will work too.
- A small to medium size stuffed animal.
Any other gifts you wish to include in the diaper cake.
You first start off laying the cake circle down then rolling each diaper and wrapping the clear rubber band around it. After you have rolled the diapers roll the baby blanket and place it in the middle of the cake circle. Afterwards place each diaper around the blanket keep going till you hit the edge of the cake circle. You have now completed your bottom layer.
You should still have the top part of the baby blanket sticking out of the middle. Repeat the diaper rolling process and wrap them around the baby blanket. This time you will not reach the edge with the bottom layer, you will stop a few inches before reaching the edge. You have now completed your second layer.
Repeat the process again to complete the last layer, and you will have now completely formed your diaper cake, with a blanket hidden in the middle. The top layer should rise a little above the blanket so there is a small hole/nest area in the middle on the top layer.
Now just wrap the wide ribbon around each layer and make a bow in the mid/front where you wish the main display to be.
Place the stuff animal in the hole/nest area on the top layer to where it is snuggled in there, but not completely hidden. This makes it to where the animal does not fall off.
You can now place flowers, feathers, ribbons, and/or other decorations you wish to put on the diaper cake.
Now you will finish it up by placing the rest of the gifts on it, such as shoes, rattles, and burp clothes.
Now here are a few things I have added to my diaper cakes.
I like to make roses out of the wash clothes and stick them around the base of the each layer. You can do this rolling each cloth and sticking the clear rubber band in the middle of the rolled up cloth. Then you will slowly start pulling the layers of one end apart to spread them out and make them look like roses.
For a baby girl, it's cute to add a tiny tiara to the top of the cake around the stuffed animal.
For a unisex cake, I like to use a light blue burp cloth, roll it up and almost like the rose but layers should be further apart, and stick it in the nest of the top layer, where its sticking out wave like of the nest. It should look like water waves. Then place a large size rubber ducky in the nest part, but it should still be seen fairly well. If you find it difficult to use the burp cloth you can use a blue teething ring instead and place it around the duck.
Keep checking back, I will soon have more pictures to put up of my diaper cakes.

Great Wedding Idea's
Great
idea's for any wedding or formal event
I
helped with decorating a wedding once and found out just how crafty I can be. I
also found out that being crafty and creating your own decorations can help to
save a ton of money on a wedding. I took that knowledge and put it to good use
when it came to planning my own wedding.
Weddings and
formal events can be pretty stressful and as great as it may seem to hire a
wedding planner/decorator it's just not in the budget for many of us. So here
are some great idea's to help save money on a wedding and/or formal event. I
found that making these items myself I felt more in control over what the
outcome of the decorating would look like.
Bouquets, and flower
arrangements
You can find a lot of what you need to create your own
bouquets and flower arrangements from your local craft store but I found if your
plan a large event and want a large amount of flowers it's cheaper to buy in
bulk. EBay is a great place to start looking for artificial flowers.
When designing your own bouquets you can go as simple or
crazy as you want. Keep in mind the bigger and crazier you want your bouquets
the harder the will be in putting them together.
It's really as simple as purchasing the items that you
need and putting them together.
Here is a list of what you will need to put
together your own bouquets/arrangements.
-hot glue, and gun
-Artificial flowers (your choice of flower type and
colors)
-Styrofoam bouquet holder
-Ribbon, and any other decorations you wish to add into
the bouquets such as feathers, diamonds, and stones just to name a
few.
-Vases, and fillers for any other flower arrangements.
-Green craft tape
-Styrofoam bouquet holder/ other
Styrofoam needed for other flower arrangements.
Carefully arrange the flowers the way you would like them
to look then glue them into place. Afterwards add the decorations then glue them
into place as well. Top it off with some ribbon and your done.
Flower Arrangements-
You will not need to glue anything together with the
flower arrangements that you put into vases but you will want to arrange them to
the way you would like them to look and bind them together with green craft
tape. You can use baskets and fill them with Styrofoam, glue some green moss
into the inside and then stick and glue the flowers into the Styrofoam the way
you wish them to look.
Bridal
Bouquet
Here are a few
pictures of what I was able to put together myself with the help of the bridal
party's.
These baskets we got from the local dollar store, we just painted the colors of the wedding theme.
I used foam roses I purchased in bulk on ebay. I
would recomend the foam roses because they look very real.

When using a clear
vase, I would recomend using vase fillers. Here is used blue water pearls that I
purchased from www.save-on-crafts.com. These vases I found at the dollar store as well as the
star garland. I found pumkins at Walmart and painted them to go with my
Cinderella theme wedding.
Here are the Brides Maids
Bouquets
Here are a few other idea's that can be used to for decorations.
